During her fifty year "art life," Becky Hendrick has made and exhibited paintings, installations, and participatory environments; wrote and published numerous texts and hundreds of articles and art reviews; taught a wide range of subjects in both studio and lecture settings in five colleges/university art programs; hosted The Border Art Residency, founded by her husband, sculptor Willie Ray Parish; and, in a 2007 four-part exhibit, officially "retired from the practice of Art to (among other things) pursue amateurism" resulting in poetry, lyrics, essays, blogs, photography, and videos, mostly digital in order to leave less non-biodegradable evidence.
